From the Chase Bridge in Roscommon (the hometown of Forest Dunes) to above the Smith Bridge there is a special place in the annals of fly fishing lore. Welcome to the fabled South Branch of the AuSable River, known worldwide as one of the great trout streams of America. Once the private fly fishing and hunting retreat of auto giants Henry Ford and George Mason (Nash Car Company) this river will take anglers back in time, its crystal clear waters meandering through pristine wilderness, the pine and cedar lined shores abundant with wildlife.
